Holstein UK Genomic Type Developments

We can now confirm that Holstein UK Genomic Evaluations for Type traits will be officially released in April 2012, to coincide with the official Genetic Evaluation run. Between now and April we intend to complete a formalised period aimed at reviewing and discussing the results, plus finalising the decisions surrounding the publication and structure of the data that we will disseminate. Updates and further information will be communicated through the Journal and via the website between now and April. Watch this space!

HYB Workshops

In conjunction with HYB’s main sponsor Genus ABS, two workshops will be held this year titled “Preparing your Calf for Show”. The days will cover all areas you need to consider when selecting your show calves as well as tips on preparation and training. The first day will be held on Saturday 4th August at Sahara Holsteins followed by a day at Knowlesmere Holsteins on Saturday 18th August. Northern Ireland Visit

Holstein UK are planning a three day visit to Northern Ireland from Tuesday 17th – Thursday 19th July, to visit some of the top herds in the club as well as take in some of the local attractions. Cost per persons based on two sharing £190.
